A perfect example is the town of Balingen which boasts the worlds only museum of weights and scales!

It doesn’t stop there though. Rosenfeld is home to the Old Pharmacy, a must-see building as it is the oldest stone-built building in southern Germany having being constructed as early as 1244. Looking for more?

How about a visit to the Keller Atomic Museum in Haigerloch where a nuclear reactor has been perfectly recreated. The location alone should arouse some interest — it was originally dug into rock under the floor of the local church!

Next, a trip to Hechingen, birthplace of Albert Einsteins’ wife Elsa, is well worth a trip. At the right time of year you will able to enjoy the site of the Ladies Open tennis tournament, part of the larger German Masters.

Finally, just southwest of Hechingen is Bisingen, the proud estate of the massive Hohenzollern Castle.

There is also an annual Roman festival at the local open-air roman museum which really brings history to life.

Convinced? :-)
