Getting To And From Berlin-Schönefeld International Airport
Berlin-Schönefeld airport is well-served and easily accessed by public transportation.
There is no direct connection to long-distance trains. You will have to use one of the S-Bahns, regional trains or Airport Express to connect to the Berlin Hauptbahnhof (main station).
The S-Bahn trains are a convenient way to get to and from the airport. The S9 and S45 trains will take you from central Berlin to the airport in about thirty minutes. The S-Bahns leave about every ten minutes. Remember to buy and validate your ticket BEFORE you get on board.
The other regional trains, RE7 and RB14, run every half hour. There is also an Airport Express that gets you from the main train station to the airport in twenty-eight minutes.
There are several city buses that run to and from Berlin Airport. Route numbers X7, 162, 171, N60 and N71 all stop right in front of Terminal A. There is also an Airport Express Bus that runs from the city center to the S-Bahn station, which is just a short walk to the main terminal.
Berlin-Schönefeld Aiport offers the much-loved duty-free shops, German souvenirs and newspaper and bookstores to keep you occupied during your visit.
Food & Drink
Irish pubs, bakeries, diners and American fast food are just a few of your options at Berlin-Schönefeld Airport.
Berlin-Schönefeld takes great pride in being a “green” airport. During its construction, the crews went out of their way to protect ancient oak trees, and even relocated bats and amphibians whose habitats were in or around the airport.
