Künzell Has An Urban Funk Tempered By Rural Serenity

Künzell’s history lies embedded in the various architectural gems you’ll find as you explore this modern city.

The Dicker Turm has pride of place as a medieval monument as it probably had all along being the city’s medieval watch tower. Then there are the churches, St. Antony’s and Christ the King among others.

Künzell will floor you with its leisure options. From miniature golf to horse-riding they pretty much have it covered quite nicely. For the former, check out the Rail Golf Center and for the equestrian venture you need to visit the Franz Hahner Stables. For kids of all ages you can’t go wrong with the Takka-Tukka Indoor Adventure.

The outstanding Rhön Therme will fit that particular bill as well, with its wave pool and all that water based fun (and saunas!).

For some serious fun, consider the Schützenhaus Rifle Shooting Club armed with air guns and air pistols and with nine lanes to play sheriff.

Künzell never lets go a chance to have some fun as a community. Of course, it goes without saying you are welcome to join in the fun and games.

There’s the Parkfest held earnestly every year at the Grezzbackpark. The Meadow is a spring time event when the blooms simply rock your senses. There’s something about kids and fire trucks that signal an eternal affinity. Well, whatever it may be, it is given its due at the Künzell Youth Fire fun in spring.
