Perhaps most excitingly you will find Bad Belzig, a town that offers so much you may have trouble deciding where to start! It sits right at the very heart of the nature park where one can hire bikes and head off into the countryside. However there is more than just wildlife here.

Nestled in amongst the various copses and agricultural fields you will find four separate medieval castles. Interestingly one can also sample the thermal baths here or admire the five half-timbered watermills that survive to this day.

Finally, try to visit Werder (Havel) in May where you will find them hosting one of Germany’s largest festivals known as the Tree Blossom Festival. At this time of year 500,000 visitors arrive to enjoy the cherry blossoms, the local wine and the various cultural events shown over the nine day spectacle.
