Along the sides of the Elbe you may notice waterfowl, frond-filled marshes, and a cycle course developed expressly for two-wheel traffic. If you head inland a bit, you will discover forests full of game — wild boars, martens, gentle deer, and birds of prey. You can also hike or ride on horseback through the largest inland dunes of Schleswig-Holstein.
