Weilmünster Entices With Deep Woods, Apple Walk, And Winefests

Weilmünster is charming and serene and gives you all the space you need to unwind and explore at your own pace. The local sights are easily accessible and the locals are happy to point you the right way.

You can’t miss the Evangelical Church with its famous Defense Tower called the Kirbergturm, another lookout tower. It is where you need to be to see the lovely countryside as it lies sprawled out lazily under the glorious sunshine.

Weilmünster is known for its woods, as you’ll soon come to realize. And these certainly bring to mind the famous lines of Frost where he rhapsodizes about woods that are lovely, dark, and deep. That’s exactly what you’ll find here.

In addition to writing poetry, you can also go hiking, trekking, or camping depending on the weather and your company. Spending time in these woods is a remarkable experience you’ll remember for years to come.

Weilmünster’s local culture is fully experienced at the Frühlingsmarkt (Spring Market) in March, the Bauernmarkt (Farmer Market) with Kirmes in September, and the Martinimarkt in November. Speaking of which, you should certainly stay around to find out about the local cultural events such as the Apple Walk and the wine pressing workshop which comes up around July.

If you couldn’t make it for any of that, Weilmünster has its share of local beer parlors and restaurants which are quite successful in recreating the magic usually associated with festive occasions.

If that doesn’t do it for you, perhaps you should check out some sporting venues. You get to pick from tennis, badminton, and football (a.k.a. soccer).

And if you have time left over from all that, do check out the movies; chances are you’ll find the latest blockbuster from Hollywood doing its rounds not five minutes from where you are.
