Cologne offers a mini-mall’s worth of shops to help you spend the time before your flight. You can pick up anything from sunglasses to souvenirs to flowers and duty-free items.
Food & Drink
There’s also a wide range of culinary choices. American fast food staples Burger King and Subway are here. Bistro, cafe, and snackbars are also available. If you feel like more of a sit-down meal (or have more time to kill before you take off), why not try Gosch Seafood Restaurant or the Maredo steakhouse. :-)
Cologne Bonn Airport has not only international connections, but also interplanetary ones. It’s a part of the German space agency and is even one of NASA’s worldwide bases for space shuttle landings!
It is also concerned about issues closer to home, namely, climate change. Cologne offers its visitors the ability to offset the CO² emissions from their flights through monetary donations to the myclimate organization.
