Heide-Park Highlights

Colossos

Colossos is an extreme roller coaster that has made it into the Guinness Book of World Records as the steepest wooden coaster on Earth. This enormous thrill ride boasts a sense of flying and weightlessness for those daring enough to get on board. You’ll be whizzing through the air, as high as 60 m (197 ft), at speeds of almost 120 km/h (75 mph) and steep drops at a 60 degree angle.

Desert Race

Desert Race is a roller coaster that may not be among the tallest, but it makes up for that in sheer speed. As the coaster launches you from 0 to 100 km/h in 2.4 seconds (!), you’ll feel the force of gravity at about 4.7G!

This extreme roller coaster twists and turns sideways at dizzying speeds that will leave your legs wobbling and your heart pounding at the end.

Mountain Rafting

Being one of Germany’s largest water rides, the Mountain Rafting is a great summertime experience. You sit in your raft with five other passengers, you’ll sail through waterfalls, whirlpools and dangerous plunges. Be sure to bring your bathing suit or waterproof clothes for this one. You’re virtually guaranteed to get wet!

More Heide-Park Attractions

Whether you crave speed or prefer the slower side of life, you’ll find something here at Heide-Park. The slow rides include a Mississippi steamboat cruise, Dutch canal ride, Fairyland magical cruise and a monorail that will show you the sites of the park.

The six roller coasters are sure to appease your appetite for speed, and the several whirling rides — like the Huracan and Giant Octopus — are lots of dizzying fun. Water log flume rides will keep you wet and cool in the summer.

And don’t forget the many shows that the park puts on every day. Everything from pirates to exotic birds are here to entertain you.

Restaurants

Hotel Port Royal offers a buffet brunch every Sunday where you can dine on warm breakfast goodies and coffee, tea or juice — even if you aren’t a guest of the hotel. The hotel also provides buffet dinners during the week.
