Künzelsau will sway your senses with its scenic location that really is all it would take to bring me to my knees. But for those who expect more the more they are given at every street corner, cobbled walk, and castle doorway.
The Künzelsau Castle may not be used as a residence for royalty any more, but that does nothing to take away from it grandeur.
Other sights of equal beauty are the Old Railway Station building which now does duty as a center for youth, the Hermann-Lenz House where the renowned writer once lived, and the lovely old Town Hall building.
Künzelsau’s grand old past lives on in its various museums. For a better understanding of the artistic bend to this historic town visit the Würth Museum of Contemporary Art and the Hirschwirtscheuer. There’s also the Hohenlohe Art Society that would be of incredible interest to those of this inclination.
If you like splashing around, Tollkün is the place to head for. Here you have an indoor pool complete with a gigantic water slide and inflatable swimming course.
