Lauda-Königshofen may be a mouthful to pronounce, but that might be the only thing that you would get to complain about. Located on the lush and picturesque Tauber Valley, the little historic town has plenty to offer the visitor.
It’s right on the Romantic Road that connects all those lovely spots worth visiting if you’re traveling with your own true love. Then again it’s still the perfect choice for all those looking to get away from what they’d imagined was their OTL.
Lauda-Königshofen’s Old Town area is just what the doctor would order if he’d ever been there for all those looking to get away to a stress free, happy place. Get your daily dose of majestic period architecture, quaint little cafes and shops, market stalls, and open spaces where you can sit and gaze.
When you’re through with that you could consider stepping out a bit. After all you’re in the scenic Tauber Valley!
What would it be? Boating or canoeing on the Tauber? Or a cycle tour along the best scenic spots of the Valley?
Then again, a walk along a well-laid out trail wouldn’t be such a bad idea at all, especially if it takes you through one of those little wine villages.
Lauda-Königshofen has a heated outdoor pool if that’s more your style of relaxation.
Or you could go further afield and check out the neighboring attractions such as the Teutonic Order Museum, the Deer Park, and a Glass Museum.
