Ober-Ramstadt is this lovely little German town where you simply expect to eat, drink, doze and lay low for a while.
Boy, are you mistaken when you take yourself out! The place simply gets to you with its lovely cobbled, historic streets, wayside cafes, and all that wide open green areas.
That book you’d intended to read will just have to wait for another boring trip, coz Ober-Ramstadt has plans for the lonely planeteers. ;-)
Ober-Ramstadt has this Naturpark Bergstrasse-Odenwald with an honorable National Geopark certification. What better way to indulge yourself in the lap of nature but by visiting wild life in their natural habitat and letting go at the Recreation Park. Ober-Ramstadt has this sleepy look that gives the impression of nothing going on. That’s until you discover the Gräfenhof, Rosenhof, Sonnenhof, and Birkenbusch where you get to enjoy wonderful rides.
If you want to soak your troubles away, head for the immaculately maintained outdoor pool. Kids giving you trouble; take them to the Playground at the Mansion, or Playground On Lohberg. If you’re those lucky seniors with no kids in tow, you should most certainly visit Petri Villa and spend time at the Café.
Ober-Ramstadt being such an outdoorsy spot you can look forward to lots of hiking, trekking, and mountain biking. It’s all well organized and so doable you’ll have a wonderful time. Even beginners are given respect, if that’s what’s holding you back. ;-)
