Despite its name, the Paderborn/Lippstadt Airport actually belongs to the town of Büren, and it lies 19 km (12 mi) south-west of Paderborn and 32 km (20 mi) south-east of Lippstadt. Other distances?
Düsseldorf lies 155 km or 96 mi in the west, to Hanover it’s 161 km or 100mi (north-east), and Kassel is 95km (59 mi) away from it (south-east).
Hours Of Operation
Paderborn/Lippstadt Airport generally operates from 6:00 until 22:00. The hours for customs services are shorter.

Getting To And From Paderborn/Lippstadt Airport
Although it lacks a direct train connection, Paderborn/Lippstadt can still be reached easily by bus.
Long-Distance Trains
There is no long-distance train connection that stops directly at the airport. However, from Paderborn main station, you can catch a bus to the airport terminal (see below).
Regional Trains
Currently, there’s also no regional train connection to Paderborn/Lippstadt. BUT… (see below)
Buses
Paderborn has buses leaving several times per hour that head to the airport. You can use public bus lines 400 and 460 from the city center.
Buses begin running just before 6 am and don’t quit until almost 11 pm. There is also a Night Express bus (NE 16) that runs Friday and Saturday nights, as well as on the evenings before a public holiday. This is subject to change, though, as this airport gains in popularity.
Car / Taxi
If you’re coming from the Autobahn A44 leave at exit 60 Büren toward Salzkotten. The remainder to the airport is well signposted. Another option is to travel the A33 and take exit 27 Paderborn-Zentrum, continuing on the B1 passing Salzkotten and on to the airport.
