Hanover Nightlife — From Relaxation To Party All Night Long

The Hanover bar and night club scene is whatever you want it to be. You can relax and get a massage in the soothing Sol y Mar bar, or party til 5 am at the ZaZa.

Again, what you make of the night is up to you, and Hanover has no shortage of unique experiences.

Hanover Bars

Sol y Mar (Ernst-August-Platz 1)

This Hanover bar and lounge has an emphasis on the word “lounge.” At this relaxing place, the Sol y Mar, you can sprawl out on a bed and listen to atmospheric music while enjoying a massage! If you plan on a night of bar-hopping, don’t come here first or you may not leave. ;-)

Fire Bar (Knochenhauerstraße 30)

When you arrive at this Hanover establishment, you won’t be wondering where you are. With its bright red and orange interior and black furniture, you have no doubt that you are in the Fire Bar. Located in a tourist-friendly and easily accessible area of Old Town, the Souterrain Club and Lounge section of the bar is where most of the nightlife is to be found.

Acanto (Dragonerstraße 28)

If you’re looking for a little less lounging and a bit more action, then head to the Acanto. With its wild theme parties, live music and eclectic mix of music, you may find what you’ve been looking for.

Hanover Night Clubs

Casa Blanca (Lister Meile 26a)

The Casa Blanca night club has the questionable honor of being Germany’s smallest disco. So if you want an intimate atmosphere where everybody knows your name, you should certainly check out the Casa Blanca. The night club was immortalized in the owner’s memoirs, “Casa Blanca — don’t be bitter.”

Zaza (Hamburger Allee 4a)

Where do you go at 5 o’clock in the morning after a night of dancing and drinking? The answer is this Hanover night club, ZaZa. The party’s still going strong here in the wee hours of the morning at this “glass palace.”

Intensivstation (Scholvinstraße 9)

Are you craving a unique dance room experience during your time in Hanover? Then make your way to the Intensivstation and don’t be alarmed by the exterior. No, it isn’t actually a hospital! But inside you will find attendants dressed in nurse costume to bring you your drinks — wow! :-)
