Bielefeld nightlife provides locals and tourists with an entertaining array of food, drink and dancing opportunities. From brewery-pubs to live music clubs, you won’t find yourself with nothing to do once the sun sets here in Bielefeld.
Brauhaus Joh Albrecht (Hagenbruchstraße 8)
This Bielefeld pub is located right in the heart of Old Town, and housed in a former monastery. The Brauhaus Joh Albrecht offers indoor and outdoor seating as you sample their homemade brews.
In addition to the fine beers, there are also plenty of German snacks available, like giant pretzels and sausage salad. And if you get bored with that, the Brauhaus even offers tours of its on-site brewery.
Bernstein (Jahnplatz 2)
The Bernstein is a unique pub experience that takes place at 25 m (82 ft) above street level. The wonderful view is a main highlight, but you are certain to enjoy the casual atmosphere, a nice selection of spirits and a varied menu that includes Italian pasta as well as traditional German fare.
Bielefeld Night Clubs
Movie (Am Bahnhof 6)
This Bielefeld night club is conveniently located just next to the train station in the city center. Movie offers plenty of live music and even a yearly Battle of the Bands competition. Rock bands flock to this location to put on a raucous show to entertain the locals.
If you’re not in the mood for a loud live band, then stop by on a night when there’s an improv comedy show.
Ringlokschuppen (Stadtheider Straße 11)
The Ringlokschuppen night club is not only a popular night spot but also a historic one. This Bielefeld night club is built on the site of a former train depot from the early 1900s. It was even bombed by the Allies during WW II.
By 2002, it was an abandoned ruin until it was acquired and restored to its present state. Now you can visit here for live concerts and a disco room.
