This Bochum nature resort is a man-made lake built in 1979. Since that time it has been providing rest, relaxation and recreation for citizens of Bochum. You can even take a cruise around the lake, while enjoying the local sights, like the castle Haus Kemnade or Hardenstein’s castle ruins.
Bochum Public Park
The Bochum Public Park was built in an English garden style back in 1876. You will feel transported back in time as you walk past the 19th century villas that surround the green area. There is also a stunning rose garden, a serene lake for boat rides and the landmark Bismarck tower.
