The Send Funfair
The Send Funfair is the largest Münster event. There are over 250 performers and stall operators and about one million spectators.
The funfair takes place three times every year, with the Hindenburgplatz as the main venue. Don’t miss out on the fun and plan your visit for one of the three occasions of the Send.
International Kite Festival
The International Kite Festival is a popular summertime event. Head over to Aasee and watch the skies fill with different colors and shapes as the kite wranglers show off their stuff.
Kreuzviertel Festival
The Kreuzviertel Festival is one of the oldest and most historic Münster events. Visitors flock to this festival for the food, the fun and the children’s flea market.
Street Party on Hammer Straße
Münster’s biggest street party features all-day shopping from a wide variety of craftsmen, artists and merchants. The Street Party on Hammer Straße also has great music and plenty of food.
The party typically begins in late July or early August.
Harbor Festival
While Münster’s harbor was once nothing but industrial buildings and unsightly warehouses, the city’s revitalization projects have transformed this area and also the festival. The Hafenfest now showcases hot nightlife spots, theaters, artists’ studios and fine restaurants.
Eurocityfest
This Münster event puts the spotlight on the local culture, not just of the city itself, but also its surrounding regions. Music is always at the forefront here. There are open-air concerts and performances as the entire city embraces its musical side.
The highlight of the Eurocityfest is the enormous stage that is set up just in front of the cathedral.
Christmas market
No German city’s event calendar is complete without a Christmas market and Münster is no exception. Each year, there are holiday decorations and lights with over 250 vendors selling their wares to both local and visiting revelers.
